MISSION, VALUES & BELIEFS

OUR MISSION

At Chuluota Community Church, our mission is to extend the love and compassion of Jesus Christ to all, with a special focus on those in need. We believe that faith is not just something we hold in our hearts, but something we live out in service to others. Together, we walk in faith, serve with love, and share the message of grace—because His light is for all, and His love never fails.

Meet Pastor Roy

Roy, was born on March 13, 1952, in Virginia, and was saved at the age of 13 and started preaching when he was 16. He was challenged into missions and after high school went into New Tribes Bible Institute (Now Ethnos 360), met his wife, Viola (Pudge) and married and after a year, they completed the missionary training with New Tribes and in 1979 went to Indonesia. Roy was sick for 18 of the 20 months and had to come home. Meet Pastor Dwight & his wife Ginny

Ginny Sharp was born in Virginia in 1944 to devoted Christian parents from New Jersey. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at the age of 12 and soon felt God’s calling to serve Him. She pursued her biblical education at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, preparing for a lifetime of ministry.

Dwight Sharp was born in California in 1945 to parents training for missionary work. Raised in Brazil, he developed a deep understanding of cross-cultural ministry from an early age. He also attended Moody Bible Institute, where he met Ginny. The two were married in 1965 and began their journey in full-time missionary service.

After training with New Tribes Mission (now Ethnos360), Dwight and Ginny, along with their four children, moved to Indonesia in 1973. They served among the Embaloh tribal people in Kalimantan (formerly Borneo) until 1996, where Dwight focused on evangelism, church planting, and discipleship while also assisting Ginny in Bible translation. Ginny served as a Bible translator and later as a translation consultant for the field of Indonesia.

In 1997, they moved to the Philippines, working first with the Tala’andig tribe in Mindanao and later in Butuan City. There, they discipled a young couple and mentored their disciple, Ricky, in establishing a church in the mountains.

In 2009, they returned to the United States, where they continue their ministry. Today, Dwight assists Pastor Roy in the teaching program at Chuluota Community Church.
